Our Gathered Grounds – Nuit Blanche at Wychwood Barns 2025

Wychwood Barns is excited to announce our status as a Major Institution for Nuit Blanche 2025!
Happening on October 4, we will be open all night long with incredible art, activations, and so much more, all centered around this year’s theme of “Translating the City”. Visit us from 7PM – 7AM!
See the following at Wychwood Barns:
- BAM! Nuit Blanche Night Market, featuring over 25 artists! This market aims to support local talent within our diverse communities, giving emerging, mid-career and established artists a space to exhibit and sell their work! Stay tuned for a complete list of artists coming soon!
- ECHOES by Jackson and Dickson @jacksondicksonstudio “Echoes” is a sound and video installation that celebrates Hamilton’s industrial soundscape, channeling the enduring rhythms of a city shaped by steel. This immersive work invites audiences to reflect on the strength of labor, the richness of legacy, and the powerful sonic identity that continues to resonate through its industrial past.
- Bee Mine by Calabra @garycapon13 Bee Mine, a striking light and sculptural installation in the Christie Courtyard. The distorted hexagons represent the impact technology has on humans, animals and the environment long after it has become obsolete and military conflicts have ended.
We invite you to explore our spaces as we foster connection and creativity through showcasing compelling narratives.
Don’t miss the activities at our other locations also participating this year, @youngplaceto and @danielsspectrumto!
Stay tuned here and on our social media for further information coming your way this month.

We are back with the second edition of the Barns Eco Market – a place where art meets sustainability. After the successful launch of our first Barns Eco Market that happened in May, we are happy to bring back the market in fall that will feature creativity that is rooted in environmentalism, recycling, and vintage! Barns Eco Market calls all artists, makers and creatives who work with local, hand-made and sustainable crafts and products. From organic skincare, recycled paper, handmade jewellery to upcycled electronics, we invite you to surprise us with your unique craftsmanship and get a chance to showcase your work in the historic Wychwood Barns. Wychwood Barns holds a special dedication to environmental sustainability as one of the few buildings in the city of Toronto that operates on a geothermal system. Our mandate prioritizes arts and environment as key values of this community cultural hub. We are excited to introduce a market that promotes this theme and encourages the community to become a part of it. Market Date: September 12, 9 AM – 3 PM Location: Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street, Toronto Application Deadline: August 19, 5 PM Apply here!
